Maiden Voyage in the New Camper!

Maiden Voyage in the New Camper!

Well after getting the camper sorted out and “finished” at Protomachine Olivia and I decided to get out for a quick one nighter to give the camper it’s first test in the wild! We didn’t have a lot of time to plan or get ready so we quickly packed up after work and jumped in the truck to head north, my good friend has a private 4,000 acre ranch about 40 minutes from us that I have spent a lot of time hunting, camping, wheeling and riding dirtbikes on. We’re very lucky to have access to such a special place available to us and we don’t take it for granted. The wind was absolutely howling as we were driving up there and we knew the wind was gonna dictate where we were gonna camp so we drove around the ranch for nearly two hours just trying to find a good spot out of the wind and we found the perfect spot with enough old oak trees and ridge lines to keep us out of the wind.

I didn’t really bother taking any pics during the evening cause we were just enjoying spending time outside and cooking dinner but we made some sausages, bell peppers and potatoes and ate while watching the sunset it was perfect. After dinner it really got cold so we retreated to the camper where we just hung out and went to bed.

First night in the camper was a success! We slept great and woke up to a nice fog bank sitting around us so we got up to go walk around and take some photos while the light was still nice.

After a while we decided it was time for coffee and breakfast so we walked back to the truck where we enjoyed leftover potatoes from last night, eggs and bacon before heading off to explore around the ranch a bit more.
